This changes from time to time for me, but right now my favorite is Minecraft. I play it almost every day. I think it’s the freedom of gameplay and possibility for creativity that the game offers that attracts me. Some people speedrun Minecraft, some people build structures and sculptures, some people build ridiculously complex mechanical devices, some people even create 2D art using maps. Some people just like to play it the old school way and build their little house and farm, going out to explore every now and then in a huge, randomly generated world. It’s just incredible and I thank Notch and Mojang for creating a game like this. It’s the ultimate open world game.

A quick look at my steam library: wow carries 2139 hours, Battletech 886 hours, Rimworld 791 hours, Pathfinder 491 Hours, Skyrim 393 hours. Thats just my steam top 5. I likely have at least 3000 hours each in Minecraft, Battleground Europe (ww2online since July 2001), and Neverwinter 2. The civilization series are probably my favorite all time line of games given the sandbox nature of this grand strategy game. So that's it.
